US State Department Releases Written Commitments from the Summit
With the Summit's objective to set forth an affirmative agenda to reinvigorate democracy and tackle its challenges through collective action, countries were encouraged to voluntarily submit written commitments in the weeks following the Summit. The Summit was framed around the three themes of defending against authoritarianism, addressing and fighting corruption, and promoting respect for human rights. These themes were used in some commitments as guiding themes for commitments made. Additional commitments will be posted on the State Department website after they have been received and processed. We also invite you to browse the Commitments page on our website, which will be periodically updated to reflect the latest developments in commitments.
