Webinar: Securing Democracy from Illicit Finance: Strengthening the First Mile

Civil society and journalists are crucial in reining in illicit finance. In countering corruption to support democracy, non-governmental actors must be empowered. On 7 February 2022, the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) will hold a discussion on how to harness civil societal involvement and efforts to counter illicit finance. The discussion will feature insights and experience from East Africa, considering the measures needed to strengthen local responses and to curb global corruption and kleptocracy.
