USAID Administrator Samantha Power Hosts Roundtable with Anti-Corruption Change Agents

The event gathered leading anti-corruption civil society organisations and activists on 23 September 2021. USAID highlighted the importance of civil society in countering corruption, and illuminated future plans to double down on support for anti-corruption initiatives, programmes and partnerships.

  •  Rueben Lifuka, Vice Chair of the Board of Directors, Transparency International;
  • Juan Francisco Sandoval Alfaro, former Chief of the Special Prosecutor’s Office Against Impunity in Guatemala;
  • Achraf Aouadi, founder of the Tunisian watchdog organisation I-Watch;
  • Miranda Patrucic, Deputy Editor in Chief, Regional and Central Asia, Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project.

 The event also featured the U.S. Under Secretary of State for Civilian Security, Democracy, and Human Rights Uzra Zeya.
