Third Summit for Democracy: Briefing on the Cohorts, Civil Society and Youth Day

On 28 February 2024, the Platform for Engagement with Civil Society (PEC) Organizations are organizing a briefing on the Cohorts, Civil Society and Youth Day at the third Summit for Democracy.

The third Summit for Democracy is taking place on 18 to 20 March 2024 in Seoul, the Republic of Korea. The theme will be ‘Democracy for Future Generations’. The three-day Summit will feature a range of activities, including a Cohorts, Civil Society and Youth Day that is taking place on on 19 March 2024 in COEX Center, Seoul. The Cohorts, Civil Society and Youth Day activities are a central part of the Summit during which Summit for Democracy cohorts, civil society and youth organizations will highlight their work in shaping democracy fit for future generations in diverse sessions and exhibition booths.

The PEC organizations, including International IDEA, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), Open Government Partnership (OGP), and the Community of Democracies (CoD), are supporting the government of the Republic of Korea to organize the Cohorts, Civil Society and Youth Day. For this purpose, the PECs are organizing a Briefing and Q&A Session on the Cohorts, Civil Society and Youth Day of the third Summit for Democracy on 28 February at 14:00 CET/8:00 EST. During the meeting, the agenda of the Cohorts, Civil Society and Youth Day will also be announced.
