Consequences of the War in Ukraine on the Middle East

Play video

On 17 March 2022, the Malcolm H. Kerr Carnegie Middle East Center will hold a public panel on the consequences of the Russian invasion of Ukraine for the Middle East. Of particular interest to the discussion will be the role played by Turkey in the conflict, as President Erdogan may use the conflict to play a mediation role therefore raising its profile in the region. Existing Russian military presence in the region is of additional concern. Panellists will include Emma Beals, Paul Stronski, Sinan Ülgen, Maha Yahya and Jihad Yazigi.

A live recording of the discussion will be available above.
